Oh so pretty when the city is covered up
under a shroud of clouds
and the rain is com'in down
fashion hides inside and the world goes quiet
the streets diet from the scum everyone makes
all the chatter and the trash gets washed away

bring the rain and wash it all away

the birds are peek'in out from under the trees
and the ground is sleeping waiting to be
greeting the sun
everyone is waiting for the sun

but me....
cause I like to be
cozy on a rainy day all tucked away
as the clouds shroud the city it looks so pretty
everyone is inside and get to walk around the town alone
they're all in their home
and the air is clean and I'm less mean
when the gossips not heard I'm less disturbed
